From 27 to 29 September 2021 the German Agency for Renewable Resources (FNR) on behalf of ERA CoBioTech organises the third BioTech Research & Innovation Hack, a Virtual Status Seminar, which brings together all ERA CoBioTech funded projects!
The 9th edition of the European Biotech Week is hosted by EuropaBio and takes place from 27 September - 3 October 2021. The European Biotech Week is a momentous occasion to inform the European citizens on biotechnology and its impact on their health and everyday life and to celebrate science and innovation across Europe.
The ERA-Net Cofund on Biotechnologies ERA CoBioTech is supporting the biotechnology research in Europe through enhanced cooperation and coordination of different national and regional research programs, promoting systems biology and synthetic biology as technology drivers to speed up research and innovation in industrial biotechnology. As a part of the ERA CoBioTech programme three calls for research proposal were implemented and 32 projects with a total funding over 50 €M were supported.
From 27 to 29 September 2021 the German Agency for Renewable Resources (FNR) on behalf of ERA CoBioTech organises the third BioTech Research & Innovation Hack, a Virtual Status Seminar, where in 12 online session the transnational research consortia will inform about their planned activities, current results and achievements. The excellent projects are applying innovative interdisciplinary research approaches to develop solution for global challenges. The research projects are expected to provide significant contribution to the optimisation of different parts of the value chains of various biobased products used in our everyday life for example platform and commodity chemicals (biosurfactants, bioadhesives, solvents, biopolymers and coatings, biofuels), ingredients (flavours, fragrances, etc.) applied in the food and cosmetic industry, agrochemicals, products for personal care and steroids, antibiotics and other bioactive compounds used in human and veterinary medicine.
Next to the presentations of the excellent research the projects also inspiring keynote speeches will complete the programme.
