Sustainable Production of n-Butanol by Artificial Consortia Through Synthetic and Systems Biology Approaches
Coordinator: prof dr. Philippe Soucaille, LISBP, INSA, University of Toulouse, HES, France
The SynConsor4Butanol projectaims to the development of new “CO2 free” Sustainableproduction and conversion processes based on lignocellulosic feedstocks. This will lead to a value-added product, n-butanol, useful in thechemical industry and as a biofuel.Ultimately, the developments made will lead to new sustainable industrial processes. Engineered synthetic consortia will be derived through a combination of interdisciplinary methodologies, synthetic biology, metabolic engineering, systems biology, and fermentation development.
SynConsor4Butanol is funded by the ERA CoBioTech partners: ANR, UKRI-InnovateUK, BMBF and AEI.
Start: Duration: 36 months
